A good read for the solid front axle:
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...eRebuild.shtml

I'll be checking that site when I rebuild my '84 axle.

Strip it down to the axle tube and sand blast it...you might have a few usable/salvageable parts, but looks rusted pretty bad.

First thing I would do is disassemble it and make sure those shafts slide in and out easily...... since you said you dont know about the origination of the axle

Get THEE Hubs to Wab FAB ASAP. Don't screw those up. Well worth it to have Brian Re-build and powder coat for that matter. As far as rust goes. Meh... I have seen MUCH worse... (Ahem TC)

Seriously, strip it down to the knuckle balls, pull the diff and clean that thing up for an SAS (sandblast it). Cut off all the unneeded brackets, weld on the new ones (put the diff back in before welding) and then Industrial Rustoleum the thing.

All you need is knuckle rebuild kit and other parts depending on how rusted they are (wheel hubs, spindles, calipers, manual hubs, etc. )
