Hey nice truck! I like the Lime color.

Are those runner brakes disc or drum in the rear? I have an 86 too! Do they bolt right up?

I did'nt know 3.88 were around, despite the risk of me sounding like an idiot.

I was able to tell what gearing i had from the factory in my axles by looking at the code under the hood on the firewall. Now where is that link....? Hmmmm

my plan is to make it a daily driver that will take me anywhere( and it almost will take me anywhere now shes a yota haha) but i have a few plans such as eventually sas, front and rear lockers, dom front tube bumper and headache rack, sliders in the build plans comin up. untill sas ill prob do a 4 inch lift front and rear on some new 31x10.50 m&s. dreamed of a 3.4 swap too. but probably build my own 22re with some goodies. right now im lovin the rig. it gets up and goes alright for a half tired 22re. burns some oil, but rebuild is in the near future. and paint job soon!

Right on. I'd do sliders, rear locker, tires, and front and rear amour. That'll get you out there peeling out and by then you'll know where you really want to go with it. If your for sure about the SAS then start collecting parts now. I wouldn't do gears right away if you are. Unless you can find someone to buy your ifs gear set when you do decide to make the swap.

I would hold on the 4" ifs lift and put the money towards the items Steves suggested. That way you get to the SAS faster.

im kickin the idea of goin with blazeland long arm kit for the ifs. i dont really mind the ifs too much(but sas would be bad to the bone!) the kit looks good heard good things bout it. i got a set of pro comp 4 inch lift leaf springs that should go nice with the long arm kit. any input on the kit? positive or neg?

Well depends on its final use. The blazeland is a nice setup, but it has a wider stance, wider than the rear. And thats not bad just a visual or aesthetic issue. SAS will not match the blazelznd for comfort at high speeds. The SAS is just an sas. I like my SAS over the old ifs.

I love my solid axle over ifs any day. There are time's where i'm pounding through a trail with bowling ball sized rocks and i know for a fact that its smoother then having ifs. I do like ifs better for the on road qualities though.

Do that compression test. You may only need valve stem seals
