I would vote for either 1 or 5 for tail lights. and there is nothing wrong with a nice hardwood floor and cedar or mahogany[sp] strip sides. IMO it would look really nice and rich escpecially with a nice stain and a couple of coats of spar varnish.

I really like option #1, followed distantly by #2. The oval lights are appealing and add variety.

well actually its composite wood, which is basically plastic, and i like plastic, it last forever. That said, wood rots, and i'm not a fan, but what can you do, i was going to use composite wood for all of it, but it doesn't come in a 12'' width, and it just so happened that i can fit 5 12'' boards in perfectly, and i don't want to use 6'' width because that would take a crap ton of nuts and bolts. Anyways, on to the tail lights, i kinda want the stop light to be an oval, so its real large, and more bright, but i kinda wanted the signal to the be the closest to the edge. At first i liked the layout that the bottom two have, #'s 5 & 6 but together they look kinda funny. Honestly, its pretty much between number 1 and 5, but more than likely i'm going to go with 1 because it will be the brightest configuration and the easiest to mount the light, and at the same time still look really cool.

WWWOOO... er

Yeah, the season closed in on me, like no other, and i'm kinda stuck in a situation as the shop that i used to work out of is no longer readily available to me, i am out of a place to work until it warms up again. However, the bed is pretty much done, well all the fabrication is done, but here is what it is. I like it a lot, i think it came out really well, and i'm happy with it.

Thats a really nice beefy looking box...
for winter you could just temporally screw in some chipboard panels and you'd have a usable box if you needed it...
just an idea...
I still say go with a nice "classic" hardwood floor when you build her for real...
