ok so my clutch started to slip yesterday i think. if i am moving and rev above 2500 it continues to semi freely without accelerating. what can i do some one told me to adjust it. i don't know what or how.

No adjustment on hydraulic clutch systems, you'll have to replace the clutch.

then what is a good clutch to use?

I use Exedy stock replacements with good results. I just pulled mine the other day after about 18K miles and a year and a half (and a good amount of wheeling) and it really didn't have much visible wear.

Marlin crawler makes a very good clutch Pretty much oem but with higher clamping force

You can also buy the shifter seat and socket at that time aswell.

how much longer will a ceramic clutch last compared to a ome type one
and are the heavy duty one's worth the money

If you wheel the heavy duty might be good. I found after a long day on the trail (6 hours) the stock clutch would start to "Fade" or slip. I am pretty hard on clutchs tho

No experience with the ceramic.

right now the truck only sees light wheeling since it's mostly stock
as soon as i get some money and find me a nice taco this will become a trail rig
i'm thinking the ome one from wabfab right now
is there anything else i should get if i'm replacing the clutch?

Yes, you may as well do the rear main. If your rear main leaks, this could be why the clutch is slipping in the first place. Either way, for what it's worth I would change rear mains if you're going to have it all apart anyway.

I think the clutch kits include the pilot and throwout bearing, but if they do not, get new ones.

I would reccommend pulling the flywheel and getting it surfaced. Every clutch I have replaced I do this.

Also check the rear main seal, If the oil pan is leaking replace it, while the tranny is out it is a lot easier to do this stuff too.
