My cheap 2.5" exhaust on the cheap
my old exhaust was about to break at the muffler itself, so after hitting three different parts store i had the muffler, and the tubing to put it together. i ran the muffler up high about one inch from the heat shield and straight out the back. i clamped the last piece till i build my bumper and then i will run it on out, i might have to turn the last elbow down for clearance. i went with the 2.5" tubing because in the bend they are 2.25" radius, and in my pea brain i figured that would equate to 2.25" exhaust. i ended up with a dynomax muffler which sounds good and deep and not like a fart can. i tig welded all the joints and reused the flange from the old exhaust to bolt up to the wore out cat. that is black paint on the tubing.

What did you end up spending on that project? I replaced my rear exhaust a couple years ago and was suprized to find out that the entire rear was only $125 from the dealer. It comes all welded together and took maybe 30 minutes to replace.

about 60 bucks. you bought a 2.25'' exhaust from the dealer with muffler for 125 bucks. that is pretty good. doing it myself i was able to move the muffler up and out of the way.
