My '92 T4R on 35's

Just thought I'd share the fruit of this weekend's work. Got 35's to fit under my Runner. Was only looking to go from my 31x10.50's to 33's but got a great deal on the 35's so then of course needed some lift. Had some old worn 3" springs I picked up off CL a while ago. But once I mounted them they got me about 2 3/4" of lift which only got the rear level with the front. Had planned to use the Pro Comp Stage II 4" lift, also picked up used on CL, but now I'm worried the rear would look saggy again. So tightened the torsion bars a smidge (about 1") and "massaged the inner fenders a bit. The 35's fit without rubbing, at least on the street and even in hard turns but will probably rub if fully stuffed over rocks and such. I may eventually get some spring spacers for the rear and eventually install the 4" lift in the front but for now this will work. It actually rides pretty nice, maybe better even than before, but I'm likely biased. The first pic was from last summer with the 31's and the last 2 are from today. Any thoughts?

Looks good! My 91 is on 31s right now, I almost immediately regretted not getting 33s but oh well. Still love it.

Got a recommendation for a lift? I want to raise the rear about 2" or so. Probably going with spacers but wondering if you have a suggestion

They're probably sagging original springs. Get some new replacements. Spacers are just a bandaid for sag. OME makes light, medium, and heavy duty springs all with different load ratings. Light will be stock, medium probably 0.5-1.5", and heavy around 2" of lift over stock on an unloaded vehicle. Pick which one accordingly.

I agree a set of springs aren't that much more expensive than a set of spacers. And you can get away with 33's without lifting, maybe slight torsion bar tightening and some clearancing of the inner fenderwells.

I'm torn now on whether to go ahead and install the Pro Comp 4" in the front. This will likely require another set of springs or spacers in the rear to keep it level. The 35's seem okay on the road, even has enough power with the stock 4.56 gears and 5-speed manual. Don't do a lot of hardcore wheeling anymore. Mostly this is my beach vehicle, toting surfboards, some fire roads, and hopefully some sand runs down in Pismo soon. Plus if I go to big on lift I'll be tempted to go bigger on the tire, leading to new gears, SAS, etc, etc. Haha. Been down that road:
