my '88 yota rig
Well im posting to many pictures so I didn't want to put them all in the post your pics thread. But anyways heres some specs on my truck, its a 1988 toyota pickup automatic only 156,000 miles on it. The engine is the original engine and is in perfect running condition. no leaks or anything and as a matter of fact the 22RE stamp on the engine looks like it did the day it came out of the factory its not even faded or dirty thats how well maintained the engine was. The interior and exterior is spotless only with 2 dings on the entire truck, its the same factory paint also. Well heres the pics:
what do you guys think? is it a pretty decent truck? what else would you add on it if you were me performance an accessorie wise?

good looking truck.
performance wise, depends on what you want to do. you're not going to get more than a few hp with most bolt on mods. maybe open the exhaust up with a cat back system.
not much you can do with the auto, but if you want a little more acceleration, changing the ring and pinion out an option.
if you don't need it, changing out the bench to buckets is a nice 'upgrade'
if you can find one, a suspension lift would make it a tad more aggressive looking:
here's a 3.5" fabtech kit on my 91 2wd.

are the 6x9's isolated from the inside of the enclosure? if not the positive-negative pressure waves would pop your cones like bubble wrap
component speakers and subs dont get along well together in the same box. unless they have their respective chambers
thats my $.02 if "performance" for you is superior mirror shaking like it is for me
i would look into it

OMG... that beautiful, no lies. It looks like a 2 wheel peal, so, if you really want to do something to it you have two options, make it a street truck, you know, 20s, bagged, ect, and look up LCEnigeering. The other options... which, for a truck that beautiful, is not such a good one, but you could make it a dune running champ. In that case look up some long travel suspension, Chaos fab, camburg.

Sweet!
I am always on the lookout for an early extracab. I would do
antisway bars front and rear with nice shocks and some 17inch Cobra wheels.
I would install some nice bucket seats, add some performance goodies to the motor, regear it and drive it.
Enjoy it!
