i really wanna go without a cat but i know that if i get pulled it would be a big fine. im thinking that putting a 8" glasspack in its place would be louder and make the exhaust pop alot more. plus my last 8" pack was blown within a month. so basically what im asking is would putting a small glasspack in place of the cat have the same or similar sound to having no cat at all???

okay guys..

i'm about to order my muffler...14" ROUND magnaflow...2.25" inlet and outlet.

i'm looking for a good sound at idle and for most of the RPM range..but i can deal with some ricey-ness up in the higher RPMS.

will this muffler accomplish that?

trail gear header > magnaflow cat > magnaflow 14" muffler (the straight flow performance one not the baffled "turbo xl" one) 2.25 pipe throughout. sounds good, not too ricey more "throaty", but i would have got a bigger muffler in retrospect to get the tone a bit deeper. honestly though the header is the loudest part... you can hear combustion right through the pipes and it sounds like i have little tin birdies under my hood. oh well.

I'm running a custom Massey Fergussen catback.

If you want it to look like you have a cat, but want a louder sound, then hollow your cat out.

haha but with gutted cats you get that annoying echo sound coming from the cat. i had a gutted cat and flowmaster copy and it sounded like garbage. and camo i think the 14" magnaflow would be perfect for wat ya want. the muffler i have now is a round 18" magnaflow copy and it sounds pretty decent but just not ungodly loud like i like. lol
