I have a "2 chamber" flowmaster on an otherwise stock system. Family can tell when I'm coming and going, and I think it has a nice growl around 2k rpms.
On the highway, tire noise drowns it out, so I don't really hear it. Also, I think I'm down to only 5 cyl. and trying to hold off until this summer for a swap.

While on the topic of exhaust, does anybody have pics of their 3.0-3.4 swap exhaust with headers to show how it's ran along the bottom?

yeah your right about the shaking and rumble ahah i was rolling around for about a month without a muffler before i put my magnaflow on my 4runner, it sounded just as knarly on the outside as it did on the inside, especially right under the cab, gotta love the sound of downshifting tho when its that loud

I got some magnaflow or Dynomax or something....It came with Downey's 2.5" kit.

What ever it is it's LOUD...Or I am getting old.

Don't answer that!

My 83 Pickup has a 40 Flowmaster with no cat. My 05 Tundra has no muffler but, huge cats. Both sound OK. They don't get loud unless I stand on the skinny pedal.

I just got my two FMF GSXR mufflers installed on my 92 truck, 2 1/4" from the down pipe back, no cat, and now I'm looking for a header. I'm still working on my supercharger and should be done within the next month. It doesn't sound as wicked as my 88' did, but the 88' is 205psi compression, and the motor in my 92' is 7.5:1 low compression. Still sounds good tho, and looks even more wicked!

Here are some pictures. The camera used to take them has a decent video camera on it, except it has some auto sound-deadening stuff on it (like to take out wind noise and stuff), so when it captures the loud exhaust, it muffles it and makes it sound all distorted. So to put it shortly, I don't have a good camera to take a sound clip.

The mufflers are Titanium too, so they don't get hot
