MC bumpers
i called up my local steel distributer to get some rectangle tubing and some pieces os sheet to make my self a rear bumper. well it was $190 for just the rectangle piece and i have no previous fabbing experiance im thinking of just buying a rear bumper.
so i want to know what everyone thinks of the marlin crawler bumper. it looks nice, it has a hitch and is very reasonably priced. all good things.
anybody own one?
what do you think of it?

Great bumper! Strong, good price, and it looks great. Glad I got mine

only thing I don't like is that the stock bumper was nicer to step on (lower)
I did have to drill higher holes for my licence plate since it covered 50% of it. But that took all of 2 minutes.

Make sure you specify HRS (hot rolled steel) versus CRS (cold rolled steel).
CRS has nice sharp edges and appears more metal/shiny looking, HRS is more of a dark or black color. It is the process of how it is made, in regards to tubing sections (2x2, 4x4, 2x6, 2x4, etc) HRS is MUCH cheaper, the most common, and all you need
I just bought 6 feet of 4x4x3/16, 4 feet of 2"x4"x3/16", 12 feet of 2x2x3/16, a lot of other pieces, some sheet steel, a lot of smaller pieces, and a large chunk of cold-rolled plate for $130

Might also check out the Allpro bumpers:

BTW the AllPro Tacoma rear bumper will fit on a 3rd gen pickup with a little modification (mainly drilling the mounting brackets) See thread below for more details:
