Lost my head bolt washers !

Grrrr!

Doing the HG on a 3VZ 6 cyl.
I lost several of my head bolt washers,(probably while fighting the crossover pipe) and have been unable to find suitable replacements.

Anyone have a few they could toss in the mail right quick?

How they vanished into thin air, I have no idea.

Have you checked your skid plate? You'd be surprised how many things can end up on the top of that.

Also check where they actually sit in the heads. I thought I lost a few of them, but when I looked again I could see they were still sitting in the heads, a pair of pliers made sure I got them out ok.

I removed the skidplate, I will look some more, cause I cant find them locally, unless I can find a junk engine somewhere.
the heads went from the block to the workbench,
but my carport is on a slope could have rolled all the way out to the street.

Shopped around at the stealerships, big difference in price for the knock wire and timing belt.

dealer A wanted $45 for the TB and $15 for the KS wire,
dealer B wanted $9.99 for the KS wire and $37 for the TB

I know this is a old thread but I don't feel so stupid now....because I did the same thing.....lost a head washer last month when doing my head gasket replacement.I got a replacement but took a lot of time to find one.....I did eventually find the one I lost a few days later laying in the leaves where the 4runner was parked.I now have that washer on my key chain

Head Bolt Washers!!!

We too are in need of head bolt washers and it is making be CRAZY! There are 3 different inside diameter sizes, .438 in, .500 in, .510 in..... summit racing has really f'd up amounts that they come in.... set of 10, set of 20, set of 34. The ones we need(I think) take a freaking week to ship. I want my car done now!!!! WHERE DID YOU FIND YOUR BOLTS THAT CAME WITH WASHERS? Brand? Where you bought them? Price? Sounds much easier than reusing old bolts and trying to buy the right washers!
