Perhaps a clogged fuel filter?

is it running smoothly even when it is trying to find its power? if its rough, and then smooths out, its probably a plug, or wire, or cap, or injector.

if it stumbles on cold start up, and a loss of power it could be your fuel pressure regulator.

Check the plug-in on your cold start injector temp sensor. I had the same problem when mine came unplugged.

It's the green plug in the red box in this pic:

I have the exact same problem on my 95 3.0, it just started a two days ago. First cold start in the mornings it stumbles, and if I hit the gas while driving it hesitates for a few seconds then kicks back on like normal. This could be the fuel pressure regulator? Where is that?

I would say check the fuel filter. My '91 3.0 did that for awhile, and then it got to the point where it wouldn't start. new fuel filter, and presto, she ran again.... then died on me 6 months later. thrust bearings were bad, and a whole lot else too. My Dad's '90 3.0 is doing that now, just been too lazy/busy to change the filter. May also be the regulator, so check that too.
