looking for fuel filler recess for rust repair

I've repaired the small amount of rust on my frame and cab and have the frame painted and cab prepped for paint. I'm now working on my bed, there is a bit of rust on the lower bedsides that was poorly patched (sheet metal spot welded in four places each panel and fiberglassed over. I will redo those spots and it should be easy because the patches will be pretty flat. The only problem area I have is the fuel filler recess, the front half is rotted out, I could patch, but it will be time consuming process. I'd rather buy a replacement piece and weld it in completely. Does anyone have a source for a new piece or a junk bed with a decent one they'll cut out and sell?

Thanks

Thanks, it looks like that one is fiberglass. Not sure if it is intended only for use on a fiberglass bed, or if it can be used as a patch. I'll keep it in mind if I can't find a metal one.

So, the dealer can only get one with an entire bedside and I'm waiting to hear back on that fiberglass one. Anyone else have suggestions?

Here's a picture of mine, way beyond repair:

If anyone has one they want to sell or see's one in a scrap yard, I'll buy it from you. You just need to drill out the spot welds from the front and pop it out.

Here's the update, showcars was jerking me around for the last month on this so I cancelled the order and requested a refund. If anyone has pulled their bed off, as a junk bed, or has seen one in a junk yard, I'll gladly buy the part from you. You just need to drill out the 5 spot welds to remove it.

Thanks in advance.

I have checked the classifieds, but haven't posted a WTB ad. My truck is a 92, I think any 89-95 short bed pickup will work. I believe 4x4 and 2x4 use the same bed sides, but am not 100% on that. I'll pay $50 shipped to me for a usable part.

take a hammer and hit the rusty areas and cut off whatever bends out and it nearly paper right!! Then take a cerial box and trace the big hole. Then cut out your tracing but leave like half an inch more around your tace line. Then ake that cutout and trace onto a peace of sheetmetal and then cut it out right on the line
tac it a few times then take a ball peen hammer and shape it and keep tac welding it. Just to do a lap joint and don't wory about making it perfect. after your done grind everything smooth and paint it.

that ˟˟˟˟ would take like 10 minutes to fix

Quit ˟˟˟˟ing around and giter done.

I have a 90 4x4 pickup I rolled that still has the banged up bed on it. It's sitting at a friend's house. I don't know when I'll be able to get out there and try to get it off. I'd want to make sure it didn't get damaged in the roll-over. Pm me your phone # and maybe we can work something out with in the week.
