I just installed one in the front of my 87. I found that they only install one way! If you install one of the washers backwards or try to put the plates in the opposite sides it just won't ratchet correctly. Also, I don't know why there is wear on the part that goes around the cross pin... it seems like something is wrong with that part.

That looks like the problem to me. I wonder if the previous seller did that or if it came that way from Detroit locker....

I wish Zuk still did gear installs. I got a 8in I want to put the new v6 Aussie locker and 5.29's on

got it in today, what a pain in the ass!

the good is its locked

bads are its really locked cant turn at all. i cant go around the block. it may as well be full spool


AND my 4wd seems to be sticky. and one have any input?

i lifted one side off the ground and tried spinning it by hand and it would not move. i put the shims in on each side so im wondering whether those were suppose to be leftout

well after one season in the snow the rear locker is great. but the front under a load clicks and locks up clicks and locks up. its really nasty. sure the lockers teeth are ground down... so im just going to weld the pos up since it basically is already. i have to put it in 2wd in order to turn on hard pavement.
