Locked Brakes?

Hey All!

So I've been having issues with my brakes for a while now, like having to pump the brakes to get good pressure, and a few times they "jumped" (for lack of a better word) and made it feel like I had a flat for a few seconds before it smoothed out. However, I was a few feet from my home a few nights ago my brakes or at least one of them locked up. I can still move but it drags me down significantly. Now I have to pump them considerably to get any pressure and as soon as I move an inch I lose all brake pressure. Not ideal for most driving conditions.

I did a visual inspection and it looks like the left rear drum is wet near the bleeder valve, but it doesn't actually leak out of the valve when I press the pedal. It does seem to be leaking from somewhere though because when its just sitting brake fluid will build up in the bottom of the wheel, and I keep having to add brake fluid while I'm testing it, so its going somewhere. I figure I have to take the drum apart, but I've never worked with brakes before so I wanted to make sure I'm doing the right thing before I did. Any ideas of what happening?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like left side wheel cylinder is blown (by-passing) and leaking brake fluid onto brake lining.
This will cause right side to lock up (over compensating).
Pull rear drums off and check WC's.
Pretty simple repair, recommend you replace both sides shoes and wheel cylinders.
Bleed system and also make sure MC is okay. Good luck
