engine swap

i just placed a 1992 3.O engine out of a toyota 4 runner that was hooked up to a manual tanny into a 1995 toyota 4 runner with a automatic had it started barely it just wont run any ideas

Are the sensors the same andd did you use the engine wire harnes off your 95 or the 92?

i used the harness that was on the 95 and not sure about sensors all the plugs were the same also was wondering if you have to purge the fuel rails for air or if it does it on its own

I think it should on its own but i could be wrong. I would go through all the plug ins and make sure they are good and tight and also check them at the ecm. good luck

There's some sensors on the water bypass that a late model AT needs that a MT doesn't. You might have to swap back in the old water bypass from the original AT motor.
