I've camped with 3 people (2 girls... ie small people) in that set up. The section that sits on the folded down back seat is modular and bolted to the rear (cargo area) section with two big bolts with wing nuts (no tools needed to remove). I can stack the front-most section (that sits on the seats) on the rear-most (cargo area) section. Takes about 2 minute to move it up and down. That way I can carry everything in the boxes and still have a bed that sleeps three people and still drive all three around wiht me.

That's pretty sweet! How hard is it to remove everything if you have to haul something back there?

Its heavy when loaded- maybe 150lbs, so its tough to do on my own, but with a friend, its not tough. There are 4 turnbuckles holding the box to the tie down points in the cargo area- they held the box fine when I tipped the truck. Takes maybe 5-10 minutes to get in and out with a friend. I leave it in 99% of the time.

Kewl! Yeah I leave my set up in from about March until September since you never know when you'll decide to take a half day at work and go fishing for a weekend.

I can't pass up a chance to wet a line and drink a beer while doing it.

Do it! I actually have my entire box laid out in the living room right now doing an inventory so I can do some shopping later on today to fill it. I've got a new lady in my life and she wants to do some camping so I'm getting ready now. I even picked up 4 or 5 more boxes although they are about half the size of the big one. I'll use them for emergency fluids and non perishable foods (separate boxes of course).

I can't until December. The camping box is in Idaho and I'm in North Dakota.

On another note I did load the rig up with probably 1200-1500 pounds of stuff for our move from New Mexico to Idaho/North Dakota. The rear was full almost to the roof, the rack on top was carrying fuel and my tools and I have a 60x30 carrier that goes into the receiver hitch that was also loaded. The coils in the rear handled the load wonderfully. Total drop was about 3", I'm guessing that coils are progressive and get stiffer when you put more weight on them. Never hit the bump stops once and that's saying something considering the roads going through Yellowstone National Park.
