Just the other day my 91 runner started to sputter a little bit when I hit 40-50 mph. It then also started to do it at 20-35. It then stoped for a few days after I put fuel cleaner in cause it started right after I had gotten gas. It is now doing it again. Any advice? Thanks

 

when was the last time u did tune up? fuel filter and what type of gas u buying?

 

its usually helpful if you tell what kind of motor it is...

 

I haven't done tilune up I just bought it 3 weeks ago and I use Regular gas. And it's a v6 3.0

i have a similar problem too like when i started it up the motor shakes and it sputters out of the exhaust but the motor shakes too so. i changed the coolant temp and fuel filter and spark plugs still the same symptoms motor shakes etc so i been reading bout simliar problems thinking bout changing the tps and o2 sensor but i was curious on what u guys might think it is and when cold or hot below 3000 rpms it sputters but not so much any above 3000 rpms

 

how many miles are on that motor? have u checked the wires or replaced them? also injectors might be your problem, have u checked to make sure they are spraying right and not leaking? some more idea....

 

well the motor have bout 15,000 replaced my fuel filter and spark plugs i replaced some wires that i though they were bad and i also checked if they were firing with a timing light and i didnt see any leaking injectors but what happen i drove to school one moring i alwasy warm it up i drove it kind of hard then when i got out of school it started sputtering

 

i also siphoned some of my dads gas from another 4runner cause i was low on gas but i didnt know he was runnig with premium octane and i already had 87 oct in my could hat mess things up with compression or something. how can i check if my injector are spraying right?
