Just Got My Truck
I've been hanging around here for a couple months, and you guys have helped me with a TON of stuff.
So I figured that i might as well post some pictures of my rig and get some feed back.
Shes a 1989 Reg Cab Pickup. 22re. 4x4(Not Working unfortunately hubs need to be fixed). Bone Stock other than some new suspension up front. Tiny bit o rust on the tail gate but thats about it. Paid $2200 in California.

Bumpers and Sliders
New Tailgate
New Carpet
Bucket seats
Complete Stereo Overhaul.
Oh and Fist and Foremost. Fix the Four Wheel Drive.

I'm not going to be doing any hardcore wheeling just to get me to my hunting and fishing spots, and maybe a couple snow trips. I just want to have a reliable truck that doesn't get stuck to much

It may be worth considering a gear change and bumping those tires up to 33s to really make it worth your while. My performance and mpgs suffer a bit pushing those big 31s around, that's why I want to go back to stock. If I went to the trouble of swapping gears out the 33s would be fun.

It's a good compromise.
My speedo registers about 3 or 4 mph higher at 60 mph and my performance off the line is worse than these trucks already are. Keep in mind too that you won't necessarily gain top end performance, that really only works if the engine has enough power to overcome the rolling resistance of the bigger treads. Someone told me I may actually see the same rpms at 70 mph (not indicated) as with my 31s when I switch to stock just because of the gearing. If it's still worth it for the ground clearance you should still have great driveability. I'm just looking to make my truck even better by going with smaller (stock) tires.

31's will be good imo.
i had 32's at one time with my22re, a little bit much, went back to 31's and stayed.
i liked the BFG all terrains that i've had. 50k miles easy, and not bad offroad.
