I took my wifes subbie into work today to drop it off for a service, she took my truck and she phoned me soon as she got to work. She can't believe how nice it is to shift, in her terms, she said it was 'like a new transmission or something' so there's her endorsement..woman stamp of approval.

Yeah I hear ya but it's still cheaper than making monthly vehicle payments with interest, tell her that!

That's how I've gotten away with my truck.

Why replace a broken part if I'm just going to break it again? Time for an upgrade!

Thanks! What happened to your blue truck? The engine runs good, nothing major in mind, I'd like to do the EGR\PAIR delete, and soon as winters over I'll hit the pick & pulls for a supra afm.

Yeah that's my thing too, and there are some pretty good deals online for toyota oem parts as opposed to direct from the dealer.

1. It cleans up the engine bay, which is !2exceptionally full due to the 3vze.
2. It removes smog equipment that after 20+ year is likely not doing its job.
3. It "supposedly" increases power.. I didn't notice a power increase when I removed my smog equipment, but others have.
4. It simplifies the diagnosis process when something goes bad; less parts to check.

But mostly, it cleans up the engine bay!😁

Depends on where you're at, we have no smog requirements here in Alberta, I'm not sure you could get away with it in Cali, the Cali truck guys will have to chime in. The egr re-circulates exhaust gas back into the engine to reduce nox emissions. Because it's exhaust gas, the egr valve gets plugged up with carbon over time. All ecu equipped vehicles can adjust if you decide to remove it I've removed it on every vehicle I've owned with EGR and never once had an issue, I haven't removed it on this truck yet though.

I read that with the EGR deleted it will still pass the smog test....but they will nail you on visual inspection....and if your CEL is on they will scan your truck and see the EGR codes which will screw you again.

damn you california! glad im moving back to portland soon

LED reverse lights and dome light

I ordered some LED lights for my back-up lights and a cheesy blue dome lamp for my blue interior. I'm really please with the back up lights, really nice spread, the dome light is as I said, kinda cheesy but nice and bright.

LED on left, regular bulb on right, the spread on the left bulb is way wider than stock bulb.
