Well i am a little confused. Does that AFM simply bolt on to the 3.0 intake box in place of the 3.0's AFM? or does it not fit 100%? is the only different thing the intake tube size?

Thats what I was trying to ask. It appears that all the wiring is the same, so the plug would just be plug and play from the 3.0 into the camrys. Judging by all the pics i think just the tube size appears to be different. I am thinking about taking the plunge as well. I am just worried about any long term affects I may be putting on the engine

You wont put any bad wear or tear on the engine by increaseing the AFM size. But if you have to ducktape the camry's AFM onto the 3.0's Air box just to make it fit then you might run into a problem somewhere. Unless you can bolt off the 3.0 AFM and bolt up the camry's with the pipe size then it should be no problem.

Well I don't see the piping itself being an issue. I can always make a run to the auto parts store and get a pipe that will fit. If you say I wont do any harm to the engine then I just may roll with the idea. I don't see any other harm in it. Some better mpg will be much better.

Subscribed. Thanks for trying this and for posting so many details. It's starting to look like I have a run to Pull-a-part coming up myself.

wow nice mileage. I would have been at E. Ok, so you are saying that I can use all the tubing and airbox from the camry and it will all bolt up?

the air box and afm should fit in the same spot as your old airbox and afm
but the tubes from the throttle body to the afm need to be the ones from your truck and youll have to find a connector to go to the bigger size of the camry ! i just stuck the old pipe inside the new afm and taped it for the test

Well, if Im going to do this mod, I don't want tape holding it together. I just want to know what the OD is of the tube comming out of the VAFM. Everything else seems to be covered...

3", thats perfect! I did my ISR mod with 3" exhaust pipe and 3" rubber hose. This should button up quite nicely.

Did you use your stock Airbox or the camry one? I just like to get all the angles figured out
