I've got an ISR tube and I realized today that the seals on the inlets aren't airtight.
When I cover the edges of the seals, the idle cleans up and gets stronger. I'm psyched that I found this issue but I'm not sure of the best way to seal up these two valves. I'm enclosing 2 pics to give you an idea. Thanks a lot

 

Use a little FIPG around the outside, maybe.

 

lol i think i now know why my idle is kind of weird. randomly goes to like 1500 rpm at lights and stufff. i didnt even bother to seal up the homemade isr inlets hah. thanks for the help hehe

 

silicone sealant on the threads put them in and then make sure you seal the out side

 

When I made mine, I drilled the hole just big enough so I could thread the fittings into the plastic itself so it would fit nice and tight, then I put an o-ring on the fitting plus some high temp def-con on it. No leaks here

You might want to try putting an o-ring on if you haven't already then spread some def-con/plastic epoxy on it. Hope this helps.

I'd try just wrapping the fitting with some Teflon tape, just wrap it 3 or 4 times, it will take you 3 seconds and you will know right away if it works, you don't have to wait for anything to dry.

 

Use some silicone. I used clear RTV to seal up the connetions on mine. I didnt want to use nuts inside of the intake

 

Thanks guys. I'm going to pick up some RTV today and some new hose clamps. Looking forward to getting that ISR tube airtight. I also found a loose spark plug yesterday, (cylinder 5, hardest to access w/headers! Damn Reed/EGR valves!) all tightened now with new wires and I can already feel the difference. With this leak sealed I'm looking forward to some nice driving! Thanks again for the tips
