BTW, my buddy had a roll down rear window in his 85 EFI 4wd Long bed... Avid camper, best mod he did in HIS mind, lol. it was cool, but wow, lil pricey, hahaha.

i don't know what you're talking about...

So you are installing electric windows? I do remember someone saying they like the manual labor windows better cuz they are faster...

I had a buddy that would have changed em to manual, from electric, lol... Didn't like the 'what if they fail while out there' factor... But alas, 'SR5 Conversion Applications" must go on! Already have e-door locks? Or is that a future project too? (Love having the remote door lock thingy on my alarm, lol).

only the driver's side. the passenger's side is a pain in the ass to open/close (unless you're in the passenger's seat)

plus i have more hidden up my sleeve

Then you drive home with them up or down...i don't remember ever hearing of someone stranded because the windows wouldn't go up or down...some folks have odd rationale. I bet he doesn't carry around the tool to pop the clip off of the window crank so you can take the interior panel off in case the manual regulator breaks or becomes misaligned... just sayin, there are pros and cons

And Ian you will need a new interior door panel if you delete the manual cranks. Or locate a switch somewhere and put a big plug in the crank hole.

Hehehe... Yep, figured as much! lol. it's REALLY nice when you have an alarm(which I hope you're looking into if you're not already running one... especailly with all the goodies some homies could rip off that thing in a heartbeat before throwing it up on milk crates in the woods!) .... Did that work? hehehe.

Great ambition, man... lovin it!

yes, it was an option. the switch is in the armrest, which is dam hard to find around here. so, if i put in electric mirrors, it'll be something to come towards the very end of this thread.

and now for your viewing pleasure!

two of these packs are needed. they each only have one of the plugs that'll fit the hole

also, the prongs on the backside need to be bent out a little. it fits nicely once in
