instrument cluster not working

I've just completed installing new head and timing chain. 86 22re truck is running great now. However nothing on the dash works.
Before I found out these were an interference engine I had replaced the timing chain after failure. Obviously it was not running good (#4 cylinder valves shot), but it was running. At this time is when I noticed the dash components stopped registering. Now that everything is back together again the only issue is that. When the key is turned to "on", only the battery light comes on. Starts fine and idles fine, but no rpm reading, oil pressure, temp. etc., and the battery light stays on.
I don't see any fuse for them. This is the first vehicle I've done work on so the electrical has got me stumped. Any help out there?

Its a fuse. You have two fuse blocks, one at the left kick panel, the other under the hood. Most likely the fuses under the dash in the left kick panel. Check them all, and be sure to doublecheck for corrosion. It would be a good time to check the all the fuses anyway.
