That would be my guess! Good thing O-rings are cheap!

I had leaking injectors but it turned out to be a clogged fuel pressure regulator. Ide test yours when you take it apart. I blew compressed air to see it it would open and it would not. I replaced it and was good to go. Just another thing it may be

Assuming you have the V6...
When I had my engine apart for my head gasket I had leaking injectors - TWICE! I did learn a trick though. Once you have your injectors in, fuel rails on, regulator installed, and gas line in place...Turn your key on to run - but not start and energize the fuel pump in the diagnostic port next to your under the hood fuse box. I believe the pins are P and FP. Should be the corner pins closest to the passenger firewall. Just use a paper clip to jump the pins.

But doing this once it is buttoned up will tell you if you have an injector leak before putting the plenum back on.

Edit- your profile says you have a "V4" Not quite sure what to make of that - but the process should be the same for the 22re
