Injector advice!

Say I have a bad injector and I have taken it out and cleaned it. Does anyone know of a good test to see if it has been done right with out putting everything back together?

The FSM has a test proceedure, but it may be more involved than you'll like.

Try hooking a 9v battery to it. It will at least tell you if it's opening and squirting gas out of it.

You should be able to see it "spit" some fluid out of it if there's still some left inside.

The one for the 22re is in the link I posted above, about half way down the page. Here's the one for the 3VZE: http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...90injector.pdf Kind of strange they both have the same flow specs, maybe that's a misprint.

Be careful hooking a battery; it should only be connected for fractions of a second at a time as you can burn up the actuator. It's firing several HUNDRED times a minute under load....
