Inertia Switch?

3vz and 22re dont have them.
They used a fuse that just covers the power needs of the system, Anymore of a spike and it pops the fuse.
Also the AFM is the only other safety device, It shuts the fuelpump off if the engine dies.
(If you flip over the fuel pickup will cavatate and kill the engine but Ive wonder what happens if you just land on the side with a full tank, Theres nothing to stop the engine till it oilstarves and freezes)

Come on now.... we own toyotas not fords. I know all about ford rangers and inertia switches LOL. they randomly tripped somtimes even when your not moving. just oen more reason to no like ford trucks

I know for a fact that airbags use a deceleration sensor (I guess you can call that inertia). But I thought that the whole fuel pump shebang is controlled by the airbag ECU once it itself trips the airbags if Toyotas even have the fuel cutoff feature. I wouldn't know for sure...

There is no Inertia switch in a Toyota.
It relys on input from the airflow meter in some cases, crank sensor in other cases (late model) You can turn the engine to on, without starting it, and fuel will not be pumping. If you dont believe that, for those of you with cold start injectors...turn the Ignition to on (dont start it) and crack open the 12mm banjo bolt leading to the injector. Fuel will come out, but it will not continusly spray. If you leave it cracked open and turn the engine over, fuel will spray out of there.
btw, thats also a good quick/cheap trick for checking to be sure the fuel pump is working.

Find a wiring diagram and troubleshoot with a test light or multi meter. A wiring diagram for your vehicle will show if there is an inertia switch (I'm 99% sure it won't as stated above this is more of a Ford thing and not just their pickups) and without the diagram you are flying blind, check the fuse first.
