Ive got a 92 pickup with 200xxx miles on it. I bought it with a three and a half inch trail master lift, headers and some unknown diff. The last guy wanted to make a rock crawler with it (2500rpms at 50mph in fifth gear, 3500 at 70) it was in rough condition but ive done what i can can with it.

Im look for a good radiator, electric fan and throttle body spacer.

Id really like to get a diff thats better then stock but lets me use lower rpms on the street, (it spends 80-90% of the time on the street depending on the season)

Any suggestions of what to buy would be appreciated.

 

what size tires do you want to run?

 

Your gear ratio is about 1 step lower than stock. Go up a tire size!

Take what money you're thinking of spending on the electric fan and TB spacer and flush it down the toilet - it will have the same effect on the truck.

What are you wanting to use the truck for? If offroad, then I recommend the following, and why:

- armor: driving around a broken or beat up rig sucks
- lockers: might already have them from what you describe the previous owner
- t case gearing: cuz slow is where it's at! Take obstacles nice and in control.
- suspension: long travel, SAS, tube buggy - by the time you get to this point, you'll know what you need!

 

A TB spacer is absolutely and utterly useless on a FI vehicle.
Skip that.
The electric fan can give a very minor boost, but you must make sure to get a good one and that it's installed correctly.

I'm running 32x11.5 Pirelli Scorpions. Its mostly a street truck. its for hauling at work. its sees some trails to camp sights and bombing around in the snow getting up to snowmobile sites.

Im getting the K&N intake but theres also a hole in my intake tube, would it be better to get a new stock pipe or one of the tube intakes from ebay and not use the filter

 

the K&N intake looks cool but I had one on my old '05 for about 6 months, made no difference other than the engine sucking in hot air from the engine compartment...I got lucky and sold it on ebay for what I paid for it...

search deckplate mod...cheaper etc
