IM BACK!! and with pictures of my engine rebuild
hey guys,
its been a while since i have posted, finally got a summer job so no time for fun. Anyways to catch yall up the yota has been broke in the yard for about a month now waiting on its rebuild. well finally this weekend i started pulling it. Got her taken out and to the shop today. Here is the list of what shes getting..
Bored .40 over
block is getting decked
mild comp cam
head is getting shaved as far as the new cam will allow
all new head components
crank is being balanced
block and head will be painted gloss black
intake manifold is being ported and polished by yours truly
dual row timing chain
Pacesetter header on order along with cherry bomb glasspack
2.25" pipe run all the way back
new electric cooling fan ( if anyone wants the stock shroud let me know, not a crack or blemish on it )
and finally a marlin crawler super HD clutch
well on to the pictures of this weekend...
as she sat when i pulled her into the shop

most the wires and vacuum lines undone, upper intake off

more wires off, and lower intake off

exhaust manifold off

more accessories and random stuff off

Finally chained up and coming out

almost there!!

and shes out!

Just cleaning up now

valve cover off

and she was off to the machine shop! wish me luck guys, hopefully gonna be a stout motor when shes done. more pics to come this week and next weekend as i start cleaning and painting the intake manifold and valve cover, along with my body lift going on!

hey guys thanks for the complements and help. Well i got a visit from the UPS man today, take a look at what i got...




that would be my header, cherry bomb muffler, taylor 8.2 plug wires, and NGK v-power plugs

well i know its been a while, but i have been getting the work done. I got a call today from the machine shop, shes all ready to go. gonna pick it up tomorrow afternoon. In the mean time i have been cleaning and painting my valve cover, and upper intake. Heres some pictures for ya..

^^ haha well i like it to look good for a little while anyway. and i know about the camera, those were just taken with my little point and shoot, when she goes in this weekend im gonna use my D60

looks like you had good parts to start with. I took my valve cover to the machine shop and had them run it in their automated parts washer. They said they had to run it through 3 or 4 times to get it clean. The oxidation and pitting where horrible. I had to wire wheel it one evening to remove all of the corrosion. Then took it to the powder coater and $20 later it is a beautiful glossy signal blue.

^^ yeah im gonna do that to mine. Btw good looking cover. well boys shes all done, and running. it took a lot of time, money, frustration, and help. i cant start to thank everyone who helped enough. well on to the pictures...

haha my bad, well shes running real good, i havent gotten on her to hard yet. gonna give her a decent break in period for i really romp on it. but so far smooth and i can already tell a power increase.
