Identifying tranny model

I have a 1989 toyota pickup 4x4 with a 22re and 5speed manual tranny. Is there a VIN decoder or something on the net for these trucks? I'm trying to figure out what model tranny it has.

any help would be appreciated thanks

Well that narrows it down to either a W56 or G58.

to double-check this you may be able to look on your door panel sticker, if it's still there. it clearly shows R150F for mine.

Its a regular cab and has manual hubs. so its probably the W56. the top cover with the tranny and Tcase shifters on it has 6 bolts.
