illl be moving it in the next month or so ..it works but at the same rate after all ive heard about the way this sensor works it kinda doesnt make sense to put it on the head where the valves are lol. ..thanks for the reply

I can get 200 miles on a tank now (about a 4-8 mpg increase) and the engine runs generally smoother.

moving the knock sensor will probably remedy the fault, but it will be unable to "hear" the knocking, so you've effectively bypassed the point of having it. then if you ever start getting pre-combustion you can damage the engine.
