Huge Score Today

I Was on my way to pick up a 22re motor I can rebuild today found it Thur cl ad but from a different guy well really the kids dad had one sitting in storage minus the broken crank so I talked with him he told me come pick it up for $120 it's mine. 187,xxx miles and ran till he broke the crank bolts I think to myself nice score.

As we were loading it into the back of my 90 4runner a lady stops and ask for direction's as she is from out of town like me so the guy comes over and gives her directions to were she is heading and she say thanks and drives off no big deal right?

Well about two mins later as I am closing the tailgate up and setting the tire rack back in place she comes rolling back up and I look at the guy and laugh a bit and say she's lost again and needs someone to drive in front of her to get her where is going and he laughs and say ya bet your right.

So she pulls up and say I have a question for you and I'm like must be you she's talking to to the guy I just got the motor from and she Say's no I was talking about you and I am dumb founded like I already told her I was not from this area right.

She asks me what year is your 4runner so I tell her a 90 why? and she says because i just love it it's the same color as mine and I'm like YYYAAA BBBAAABBYY my kind of girl a runner girl nice though she is a bit of an older model herself so I say oh ya what have you got and she Say's I got an 88 4runner that is just blocking my drive and I am trying to sell it and soon as I get home I am putting it on CRAIGSLIST tonight.

When I get home would you be interested in looking at it and telling me what you think I should ask for it so I am again like I am not from this area and got to go back 80 miles to home.She then tells me that her place is right along the way home for me and is really just looking for an opinion so I say what the h e double tooth picks.

I follow her to her house and see this 88 runner there with the same color paint like she said as mine and right then I start thinkin LOW BALL HER and deal yourself a great deal on a 1st gen cheap right. Well after looking at it I told her it was in fair shape and if I was to buy it I would give her 900-1,000 for it because it is a bit rough but not real bad.So she asks can she check out mine and I am like sure go ahead feel free as I am checking out yours you can see the differences between the 2 years.

About 5 mins later she walks over to me and Say's here is the title give me 200 bucks and I will sign the title and it's yours for 1000 bucks and you can pay me payments for the rest.

I damn near feel over it is rough but very fixable and I am like your kidding right and she says not at all I love the look of yours and I can see with the other motor in the back you really love these things so if you want it on the deal I just gave you I will take you to the bank and you can get me 200 bucks give me your address and I will drive it there tomorrow for you .

I was and am in shock still it will be here tomorrow and I will post some pics it is an auto but for the price and deal I don't care I can fix that later I have the title in my hand and it's signed by her so now I am a 3 4runner guy and the 1st gen is the one I wanted from the start now I have one the same color as my 90.

Now I just need to find some kind of lift for it that's not extreme maybe BJ Spacers and a set of rear springs to match on 31 x10.5's and a bikini top for sure for a street ride an ideas guy's and girls?
