I'd say 1.5-2 quarts per 3k miles, leaks here and there, 157k on the 3.0

I was using about a quart every oil change (4k miles) before I recently replaced the valve cover gaskets. Now we'll see exactly how much is burned & how much was just falling out thru the valve cover leaks...

See, here at yotatech we have our own system of units, it's a refined version of the imperial system and more better than metric.

"Double it and add thirty" is the universal conversion from anything to anything else

My 243K mile 22RE uses about two quarts every 600 miles or so. No leaking and no smoke, it just disappears.

I use 1.5 quarts every 3400 miles I found out on my road trip this summer. Personally I find it hard to believe that some burn zero oil. I used to think the same thing until I took extended trips and burned off contaminants. If I do nothing but in town driving it is always full. According to the owner's manual it is normal to burn "some" oil.

Normally, a 1-1.5qts every 3000 miles. Run castrol 10w30 and wix oil filter. I do not believe my 3slow burns oil at all. Even with 230k miles. Rear main seal is leaking.. Tim

I'll add about 2 quarts between oil changes with just about 200k on the engine.

Used to be a bit worse before I changed the O-ring in my distributer shaft and valve cover gaskets. Still have to do the oil pan gasket and rear main seal though.

my old 85 pickup went through about one quarter each gas tank. but the truck actually got a consistent 34 mpg. seriously. i kept a case of cheap oil in the bed, i figured the oil was way cheaper than replacing just about anything of consequence in that engine compartment. ran strong too.

My 95 3.0 uses about 2 quarts every 3000 miles, I think it's the rear main and maybe it burns some too. That's with 154k on it and I have no prior knowledge of how it was treated.
