94 4Runner with 170000. It all depends on the maintenance. If the oil is changed with good stuff and the air filter is kept clean it can run a really long time.

My 92 had 242000 miles on the V6 and it ran fine other than the hg was blown in it. But it has that motor no more. Changed it for the 3.0TD. It has 187000 miles on it and runs very strong. My dads 91 has 151000kms on it and runs perfectly and grandfathers has 289000 kms and runs perfectly. I know my dads had the hg done at 70000kms but nothing since.

90 4Runner V6 Auto 342,000 k or about 214,000 miles .All original Mtr and Trans.Shifts like a dream.
Took her across BC (From Van)to Alberta, back to Kelowna, back to Alberta again(picked up our kids after dropping them off)and back home.Fully loaded, pulling a tent trailer(1500lbs) 3800 KM trip.Did not put any oil or water in at all during the trip.Did some off roading as well.
Mind you 2 days later the drivers rear axle bearing burnt(whew) and a flat tire the same day. Thats luck.
But cannot say enough about how this truck performed through the Rockies.

1989 3.0 264,000 miles. Original head gaskets. Engine seems quite tired.

Low oil pressure, low power. Never adjusted the valves. I should really test compression and adjust valves to see if I can get another year out of it.

206K...94 4x4 pickup...all original...bought it off the previous owner and had to do it's first t-belt and water pump asap at 10 yrs and 134K miles. It looked sad. Only replaced a starter, plugs and oil since then. Everything else is original including wires/clutch. No smoke/leaks/knocks, 1 qt between changes

246,300 on my 3.0! 240,000 when i bought it! Apparently toyota wouldn't cover the head gasket, so i don't think thats been done! The downside is when i bought it, it caught on fire on the way home! Since we got it running,, its good(knock on wood) I plan on doing a tune up when i get the next paycheck (plugs, rotor, wires, fuel filter, change the oil)!

I advanced the timing 2 degrees from recommended, seems to run better(any one else?) Also at 70mph its at 3000rpms, sound good?

thats about right on the rpms. Mine runs right about there and will hold 70 over anything unless i am towing. over in eastern washington i had it going about about 85 along with everyone else no problem. and got about 22 mpg too. slowed it down on the way back to about 65 and got about 26 mpg on the highway with it. it gets about 13 or 14 in the city.

o and it's got about 155000 on it and runs great
