How many friends do I need to help?

I have a line on a rust free cab. But it is 3 hours away from me and still on the truck. The seller wants me to remove it. This is not a problem. It is a complete ext cab interior and front clip included. How many guys do I need to bring to lift this thing off and get it on a trailer?

Three guys is the absolute minimum. I'd go into the nearest weight room/gym(nearest to the truck) and start waving around $50 bills.

If you find 3/4 buddies willing to ride six hours round trip, you have great friends. (or friends without girlfriends, wives, or kids)

I suppose I could fit the cherry picker on the trailer and bring it with me. I must have good friends I think I could fill the pickup no problem.... Probably because they want to get away from there gf/ wives lol

what he said. on a side note: if you have a low enough trailer or a flatbed with a winch. the trailer you can lift enough to get it started then work it over to the floor. flatbed get it started and winch it up. Those HarborFreight- truck cranes will work you'll need 2 of them .

Wink

It depends just how strong your friends are.

Depends where you are it might be simple to just get it ready to move then have the local towing guy come pick it up with his wrecker boom.

I have found big city companies are about useless for this kind of job.:wabbit2:

If the extra cab is completely stripped minus front and rear glass, then 3 guys will do it. I've done it and I look like a que tip.
