How hard is it to change from efi to carb setup?
Ok, still working on this POS 89 yota. Still can't get it to start. How hard is it to change the efi out and switch to a carb setup? What all parts are needed to do it? Thanks!

You need the intake manifold, the carb, air intake.
They use a different fuel setup as well. I guess the EFI uses a different more powerful pump?
Different distributor as well. Not sure on the vaccum lines but theres more.
I have the 22R
i gotta ask, why are you going to a carb from EFI... ? If you can't get the EFI to work what makes you think you can get a carb to run? Be way more headache and hassle to convert BACK to a carburetor. By the time your headache wares off you could of found the problem with the EFI system.

You'll probably need to change the ignition also. The EFI depends on AFM readings and TPS to map timing. It'll run without them, but it'll be down on power.
I'd really recommending working with the EFI.. What problems are you having?
