Ya know, 89-95 extended cab trucks had to have seat retract in orde to hit the booster seats. Perhaps you might try looking under there? They're a lot easier to find.

In the past I've just jimmy-rigged cabled from different Toyota seats into that black junction case as mentioned above and electrical taped it back up. Its been working for 3 years now without failing.

 

Have you ever spent a long time in leather seats??

They are not bad for a short trip but after 10 or 12 hours they get old real quick.

The ones I had got covered with custom made seat covers that could get tossed in the washer as needed.

since it does not get cold in the middle of Goat country I wont mention how they feel after a cool -20 F night.

To each there own like any thing else.

 

Heated leather seats are nice. Makes for toasty buns on a cold morning.

I fixed my broken seat with new wire cable and some metal ferrules from Lowes. I only needed a foot of cable for mine so the guy at lowes gave it to me for free. The ferrules were only $1.37. Worked perfectly!

Old thread I know but I decided to post my quick fix maybe it will help one of you. The passenger seat on my 86 4runner would not move forward at all making access to the rear seat difficult. I removed the seat and found that one of the cables had broken off which didn't allow the seat to move forward. The back part of the chair did still recline tho. There's a metal "D" type piece that locks on to the seat rail holding the seat in place. All I did was attach a metal wire from a clothes hanger to that "D" piece and ran the wire toward the front bottom of the seat. Now all I do is pull on the wire and the seat now moves forward allowing easy access to rear seat. And it was free!
