I wouldn't even think about not fixing it. Our old pickups are getting hard to find and I wouldn't trade mine for a new one they make today.

The insurance company may decide to write it off but it's important to remember that this is YOUR property and can't be written off without your consent. Look into your options if you want to keep your truck. Personally, I would not let them write it off and then buy it back from them because that will put a salvage title on your vehicle. Work with them and see how much they are willing to pay for the work. You might be able to get a body shop to fix it for that amount or you might be able to do the work yourself.

It doesn't look that bad from the pics. You could totally do this yourself

I hit a tree with mine. Snapped the neck off the radiator. I paid 80 for the grille, 160 for a new radiator, 25 for hood, and just straightened the bumper out myself. About 6 hours of work with a tree and come along from start to finish.

That doesn't look bad at all. Looks all cosmetic. Hood looks good, fenders are good. Maybe cracked the radiator?

Thank you everybody for your help. I have been really busy and haven't had a chance to respond. The truck was totaled by the insurance. I did buy it back and it is going back to my dad, he is going to repair it and use it again. I let it go back to him because he has missed it terribly since the day I drove it away. I don't have time myself to fix it. I made him promise that he won't sell it to anyone so that I can some day get it again. I still have my Tundra and going to try to find a car to drive back and forth to work. Thanks again for all the help.
