Stuck removing EFI Fuel Delivery Pipe from 22RE ('87 4x4 PU)
Hello,
I have an '87 Toyota PU 4x4 with a 22RE EFI engine, and I'm trying to repair the head gasket myself.
I'm still in first stage, disassembling everything, working towards getting the head off.
However, I'm currently stuck. In order to take off the intake manifold I need to remove the Fuel Delivery Pipe. It's held on with two bolts, but one is hidden behind a hose (B)
For the life of me I cannot pull out the black hose (A). Instead I thought maybe I should undo the large bolt (C). But that's stuck and I'm sure if undoing is the right way to go in any case.
I would appreciate any advice about how to proceed.
Thanks very much,
-Andrew

Much easier to just remove the line at the fuel filter then pull the rest of the line off with the fuel rail
Does not hurt to replace the fuel filter when things are apart.
Some relocate the filter to the inner fender.
Then there is the allen head bolt in the intake manifold that is often full of dirt you can`t see it.
Then the bolt down through the head into the timing cover most often in a pool of oil.
these things if your unaware cane cause major frustration .
