High gear, low rpm = bad engine shake..

So i just changed my timing chain and cover because the old guides broke and sawed through the cover therefore mixing the oil and coolant, i finally got that all fixed, replaced the guides of course! xD

after i put it all together, i took it out for a drive, i noticed that [manual tranny] when i get to the high rpm's the car runs smoothly but if i changed gears too early and let the rpm drop the engine would shake really badly,

I'm not sure if its the timing or not. ><
what do you guys think?

thank you!

check it and find out, if it didnt do it before most likely its timing related, did you reset after you put it all back together.

if it wasnt timing related id check your carrier bearing/motor & transfer case mounts.

What would you consider 'low rpm' and in which gears and how much throttle is it most pronounced?
5th gear @ 1000 RPM, and maybe up to 1500 or so will buck quite a bit if the throttle is down.

Hm... my truck doesnt have a tach, but ill try my best, xD
i havent gone that fast with it, it seems that the higher gear i go the more it shakes, feels like lack of power, but when i drove it was probably 2k-2.5k rpm on the 2nd or 3rd gear, but as the rpm builds up the engine becomes smoother and shakes less, or should i say hesitation,
could this be because of my timing is off?
sorry i dont know enough about about timing to know xD

P.S. if i were to time by ear is that with the terminals TE1 and E1 shorted?

thanks!

if you can't relate rpms without a tach, you cannot even start to guestimate timing by ear.
sorry.
