high compression in 3rd cylinder?

high compression in 3rd cylinder?

i did a compression test yesterday and 1,2 and 4 are all about 150. but my 3rd cylinder was about 180... carbon build up? not really sure if its worth looking into or if its normal?

That's a big difference. No way to tell for certain unless you pull the head or scope it. Does the spark plug on that cylinder look different?

Your Comp should be close every cylinder, with not more than 10 or 15 lbs diffrence. I would think It should be around 180 in all. 150 is good, but not great. How any miles on the motor?
