High Beams = No Lights
#21
Alright, I'm going for it.
As for the switch itself, I was just going to hit all the connections with some 220, give it some compressed air, and throw it back together. Anything else I should be doing/looking for? I'm striving for %100 confidence in my headlights, especially for those long night drives on deer infested roads... too many close calls WITH working headlights.

Alright folks, ended up getting this:
Tucked the relays and fuses behind the battery against the fender. Had it installed in probably 15 minutes (taking the battery out made it pretty easy).
Results! Noticeably brighter lights (just stock lamps). Also my switch issue was resolved! There seemed to be a void between the lowbeams and highbeams when switching that no longer exists. Last but not least my indicator light in dash became MUCH dimmer, like you all mentioned, and I was able to remove the literal bandaid from the dash.
Thanks everyone, so glad I did this before tearing the switch out! I'll probably have to clean up the switch at some point, but until then...

Nice!
You should be OK with the dimmer switch now, but ideal to clean it when you can. Finish it with the finest grit you can find. You only want to remove oxidation and rough surfaces (pitting caused by arcing with high headlight current).
Here's good discussion on cleaning relay contacts:
