HID Question
Is there anyway to get HID headlights in a 89 Toyota? I've seen these cheapo "H4" headlight assemblies on ebay...but I don't know much about them.
Thanks in advance!

Get the good glass ones from Hella. I got them for my truck and they work great. There are lots of different bulbs you can put in them. One of the best mods I have done.

You can easily get 'HID's
Heres how, first pick up a set of Hella e-code h4 lenses. They will replace your current housings with a non-sealed beam style.
now go online and pick up a H4 HID kit. PLug it all in and have fun...
Do NOT use regular 'dot' lenses. Their pattern is horrible with that much light output. You will be blinding everyone.

Yeah, make sure you have HID compatible lenses and housings to go with the bulb, that what "makes" it.
The bulb alone is pretty worthless, not to mention dangerous because of the glare.
And if you get an "HID" bulb and it has a filament, it's fake. Real HIDs make light with an arc between two electrodes.

Yeah, I'm talking about "real" HID lights... Not HID "look"...

seeing as tho H4 bulbs fit directly into the plug, id say, yes...
one thing you might wanna do before that is to upgrade the headlight wiring harness with the one that roger brown sells at www.4crawler.com...
idk if the stock wiring harness can supply the amount of energy that the
hid balasts require... just an idea...
