Help! Wayward engine plug

I had to replace my head on my 1990 4runner 22re. I have a single plug coming out of the wiring harness coming towards the valve cover that I don't know where it goes. It has a blue and a black w/ orange stripe wire, beige plug end. Looks similar to the ones that plug into the sensors on top of the valve cover. Where does it go? What does it do? could include a pic if need be.
Thanks

If you could, please include a pic; it would be very helpful

I'm going to jump out on a limb and say it's the plug for the EGR temp sensor. It's in the wiring harness for every 22re, but not all trucks have the sensor.

bleeder that was my first thought as well. see many people ask what that wire goes to. I wonder why Toyota didn't just wrap that up in something from the factory to remove the confusion. that's not to say that's his missing one though, but would be my first guess as well.

Its interesting that you mention that it should have been wrapped up. By the bends in the casing and wire, it looks like it was doubled back and wrapped at one point. I don't recall it being there before as loose though, and I didn't unwrap anything. On the harness coming up from the intake, its the one on the very front (assuming all harnesses are created equal!). I think I will snap a pic for the hell of it though.

yes please do... this plug that I mentioned and pictured sprouts from the harness near the back, so I think that I was wrong...

sounds like maybe a temp sensor plugin?

or it could possibly just be the AC VCV plug if you don't have AC

could you have gotten a head off a Cali model? i know those models have several more sensors and crap that are completely unneeded.

Here is a couple of pics. Its not a California head. We don't see many California specials up here in Alberta. They don't even inforce people having Cats.
