Help with ripped upholstery

Just wondering what you guys are using to fix rips or tears in your upholstery. Oddly enough mine really isn't that bad but I'd like to fix it while I can. Thanks in advance for your help, please don't tell me you guys are using the old "billy Mays special"

Below is my rip, I layed the keys out to show size of the rip.

how hard is it to get the seat cover off of the seat itself? If it's not too hard you could apply a patch to the back side of it or like the others said, sew it. what about seat covers or just picking up some nicer seats at the pick a part yard & fabbing them up to fit?

I've grown kinda partial to my Lumberjack special pattern, I think I'll go for sewing or a patch.

i used a heat tape for patches, I went to fabric shop got some jean stuff and a iron on patch backing. I cut the patch out with the backing on it and made it a little bigger then the hole. I then put the iron on it for 30 seconds or what it said on the back, and bam no hole.

mide had a small tear on the side, i guess from sliding in and out of the cab. I used some clear silicone and put under the rip and used tape to hole it in place untill it dried, worked good for me
