Help indentifying a few electrical connections.
'86 4Runner SR5 4x4, 22RE.
I have three random connections not connected to anything and was wondering if they are causing my headaches.
A lot of my wiring is hacked up and redone, i'm not sure why, but this may be also causing problems.
*1*This is a pic of the first and second connection located on the passenger side block. It has a red wire with yellow stripe, comes out of loom from wiring harness.
*2*The second is a big white connector, looks like something wide should be plugged into that.

*1*This is a closeup of the first red/yellow connector. I found it after I bought the truck wrapped around the frame

*1*When I checked the red/yellow connector, there was something in it. I unplugged a female end connection and it looked like a wire should have been attached to it.

*1*This is a pic of the female connector end where I think a wire should go.

*3*And this is the third random connection located on the drivers side fender just below the MBC, and comes out of a loom behind the ignitor.

I wish I knew somebody with a truck I could look at but i'm an only Toyota child. If you know what any of these connections are I would really appreciate if you could tell me.
Thanks in advance, Mike

Bump for a little help. I'll finally have some time to work on the 4Runner tomorrow and have all my electrical stuff packed. I might just have to chase down some random trucks on the road and ask to check out their engine bays

I've was googling images for hours this morning, and have come to the conclusion that I have no idea where those wires go. The third one might be one of the many test connectors on the drivers side fender, as I found one image earlier that looked like the connector was covered with a black cap, but other than that i'm lost.
I guess people don't like taking pictures of that particular engine area :p

Well it seems I may have figured out a few things.
The yellow wire on drivers side fender must be a test connector.
I have no hole in my exhaust manifold for the oxygen sensor, or even the sensor itself...
(Could that be the red/yellow wire)

BUT I still don't know what this is. And it looks waaay too important for something to not be plugged into it. (This is the large white connector near passenger side front fender)

And a few images of progress...

Sorry I didn't notice your post, I battled this the other day. The plug with the two plugs on it, only the one hooks up, the is if it was an auto. The one on the DS looks like the O2 sensor, but if you don't have one, then oh well...

One-wire/yellow could be the O2 sensor test connector:

I know the car needs an o2 sensor to run properly, so I guess it's time to tap the header.
