Help ID this part

Hello, working on my 4runner, long time project sitting in the garage and I am doing some troubleshooting of the wire harness. It ran when parked 2 years ago, then i got the idea to fix some wiring and lost track of where some stuff went. It is a 1987 4runner non sr5 22re originally with a 7mge in it now. Connectors are from the original wire harness so the 22re system, drivers side fender. There are 2 parts and I must have painted over them long ago, one is a 2 wire with a blue plug and looks to ground out, and the second is a single wire which broke off and also grounds out. I am at a loss so any clues of what they may be called would be great so i can do some proper searches.

Thanks

Looks like the ignition Noise Filter. Bolted to the apron near the coil/igniter.

Ok i got it figured out, Scope103 got it close and found a guy at napa who was able to find a part number. - Thanks for the help.

These are Ignition Resistor Condensers for the radio/ignition/ecu systems. The 2 wire unit connects to ground in 2 places as well as the positive leg that feeds the coil. It is supposed to filter and smooth the power to avoid sending back to the radio or more importantly the ecu static in the electrical system. The part number is no longer valid and you can only find them on ebay for like $60 each however they are a very basic component. Pt No 90980-04041

It appears that there are several of these, searching my 87 i found a third one hidden under the coil on the same fender so it looks like when engineering the truck they sprinkle a bunch of these all over. Because i could only find used ones on ebay i reinstalled the one with the wires that are still attached, hoping it still works. I am going to have to learn about how to wire up new ones at a future date but for now cross fingers these things don't go bad.

Part may still be available new. Did you call Toyota dealer? Plugged in the part number on my local dealer site, and it's coming up available with online price of $26.36.
