Help with E-brake indicator light

Hey guys got a relatively small problem but was wondering if anyone could help me out recently my e-brake indicator light started coming on while driving and then it will go off for a few seconds and then pop back up again it keeps happening like that till the truck it shut off I use my e-brake a good amount but i have checked and double checked and it is not engaged i thought maybe it was sticking but that too seems not to be the case does anyone know why the light would be going on and off like that any help would be great

Thanks

My guess is low brake fluid, check the master cylinder, and top it off to be sure.

Then my guess would be the switch, or the fact that the handle is hanging out just a little bit on your e-brake.

This link has some good info on repairing that tab if it is broken. It may help.

Look under the console, where the E-Brake goes into the firewall. You'll see a little nob on the e-brake shaft that hits a little microswitch. It's one of the things that turns that light on/off.

Pull the E-Brake out. The light on the dash should go on. Push on that little microswitch while you're looking at the light on your dash. It should go out. If I remember correctly, it's adjustable.
