HELP with check engine light.. trouble codes

92 pickup 22re, 5sp, 4x4..

Basically my truck runs like crap under load, it used to pick and choose what day it'd do it, but it's getting progressivly worse.

I pulled the codes and here's what I got...

14 - IGNITION SIGNAL--NO "IGF" SIGNAL TO ECU
--IGNITER/IGNITER CIRCUIT

--IGNITER AND IGNITION COIL/CIRCUIT

--ECU

42 - VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT--NO SPD. SIGNAL FOR
SEVERAL SECONDS

WHILE VEHICLE IS OPERATED UNDER HEAVY LOAD (TPS/MAP/AIR
FLOW INPUTS)
--SPEED SENSOR/CIRCUIT

--ECU

43 - STARTER SIGNAL--NO "STA" SIGNAL TO ECU UNTIL ENGINE SPEED
EXCEEDS 800RPM
--IGNITION SWITCH/CIRCUIT

--ECU

Like I said, my truck only runs bad under load. You can rev it as hard and as long as you want in neutral, and it's never sputtered or missed in reverse. I've tached it out in reverse a couple times with no problems.

All of the codes say something about circuit, and all list ECU as a likely cause... Does that mean I've got a bad ground, pinched/open wire? Is my ECU going or gone bad?

I don't know what to do... I've replaced some things in the past year. None of them have seemed to really help. The TPS, distributor, and ignition coil are 3 things I've replaced in the past year that I can think of at the moment.

I've got a friend whose dad is a service manager at the local toyota dealer, he got his foreman to look at it and he said he's never seen anything like it and didn't really know where to start..

I need some help. It's the only thing I have and I don't have money to buy anything else.

Has anybody had something similiar with their truck? Any suggestions. I've tried searching the forums, but it seems noone has had the same problems, or the questions never get anwsered or the original poster never posts back about the problem.

I was thinking ECU at 1st, but then saw "42 - VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT--NO SPD. SIGNAL FOR
SEVERAL SECONDS

WHILE VEHICLE IS OPERATED UNDER HEAVY LOAD (TPS/MAP/AIR
FLOW INPUTS)
--SPEED SENSOR/CIRCUIT"

Now I say adjust your TPS, 1st. ECU 2nd...

Thanks, hopefully tomorrow I can mess with the TPS a little bit and see if that helps.

A buddy of mine is good at chasing wires and that kind of stuff... I'm not. He said he'd give me a hand with it, should be able to do it tomorrow evening... I hope.

bhays, I'll deffinatly let you know if I figure out what the problem is.

Made a little progress today....

We started poking around with a test light and found that if you touch/move the brown wire on the igniter the engine dies.

Is my igniter bad? I don't think it's supposed to do that..

Also, the only wire on the igniter that lit up the test light is the black wire all the way to the left (facing the igniter from the front of the vehicle) that goes to the ignition coil. Is that how it's supposed to be?

I replaced the igniter (ignition control module... as the parts stores call it) today, and everything seems to be fine. She's running good again
