help!!! 4runner wont start

i just got this 1991 4runner w/ 135k and a headgasket that was leaking.(a little antifreeze out of the exhaust). the car had just had a tune up before i got it(cap, rotor, plugs, timing belt). so i tear it down and replace the head gaskets and put it all back together and it fired right up. so i adjusted the timing and though i was good to go. this was all last week. the car has been sitting since then(took two 15 min. drives in it) and then i decided to drive it to work today and get almost here and the car just died. so while waiting for the tow truck driver are start trying to figure it out. here is what i got so far...
1. it has spark
2. it smells like it is getting gas(not a real noticable smell but a little)
3. pulled front cover off timing belt looks good
4. i have not been able to check compresion yet but there is no oil in the antifreeze and it does not look like there is any antifreeze in the oil.
5. cranks over( does not even try and start... i mean not at all)

so the question with out tearing the entire top end down again what is going to be my best option to look at when i get home.
thank you matt

read the codes at home with a paper clip. Search on how - there are lots of write ups on it. It is also in your haynes manual. Have you checked the connection to the AFM - is it still plugged in tight - if a HG was done recently then it could have been disconected

That sure sounds like something very simple....something that should cost nothing...something overlooked. You did alot in that engine bay. Something ether worked loose or a wire got smashed when something was tightened up. Check the fuses near the battery. How about the connector that goes to the AFM?
Touch every connection that you had to contact when you did the HG job. It will be something that maybe you can visually see as the issue.
